Lucia Bellini
Originally from Italy, Lu Bellini is an actor-director working in film and theater, known for her dark humor and multimedia approach to live storytelling.
Her work often centers on original material, exploring absurdity, intimacy, and outlandish “what ifs,” always with a grounded eye.
She graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and a minor in Theater, where she also began her work as a screenwriter.
A New Yorker since 2006, Lu is based in Brooklyn, where she lives with her husband and their cats.
